IMPORTANT UPDATE ON STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS:
As of Monday, September 28, Student Scholarships will be limited to $200/student and available only to students staying at least two nights in the conference hotel. If you contacted LSM before Monday, September 28, please confirm the amount of your scholarship award with Dan Kim, Deputy Director of Law Student Ministries, via email at lsm@clsnet.org.
The good news: $200 Scholarships are available to ALL STUDENTS REQUESTING SCHOLARSHIPS ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER 5! Scholarships must be requested and confirmed through the LSM office, 703-642-1070, x 3303,

- Registration Scholarship ($200): All CLS member students will be eligible for a “registration scholarship” in the amount of $200 on a first come–first serve basis as long as CLS conference scholarship money lasts. To qualify for this scholarship, the student must agree to attend the leadership and fellowship forum offered at the conference on Saturday, October 17, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Student Scholarship ($250): Any student who incurs travel costs AND stays at the conference hotel is eligible for the $250 scholarship. The student must attend the student leadership and fellowship forum at the conference on Saturday, October 17, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Student Leadership Scholarship ($295): Each school may designate one student to receive this scholarship. It is limited to one per school, and any student designated by the school is eligible. This scholarship is limited to students who incur travel and hotel costs AND stay at the conference hotel. In addition, students receiving this scholarship must agree to 1) attend the student leadership and fellowship forum at the conference on Saturday, October 17, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and 2) report back to the law student fellowship about the conference.
- First Year (1L) Scholarship ($295): Any student that incurs travel costs AND stays at the conference hotel is eligible for this scholarship. Any student receiving this scholarship must to attend the student leadership and fellowship forum offered at the conference on Saturday, October 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and report on the conference to his or her fellowship upon returned to school.
To receive any of these scholarships:
~A student must request a scholarship from and register for the conference directly with LSM staff by telephone (703-642-1070, ext. 3303) or email (lsm@clsnet.org); and
~A student must have paid his or her registration fee in full; and
~A student must be a CLS student member in good standing through October 31, 2009; and
~LSM staff must confirm the student's eligibility.
ALL SCHOLARSHIPS WILL BE IN THE FORM OF A REIMBURSEMENT CHECK. The student (and spouse, if applicable) must check-in at the conference and attend the leadership and fellowship forum, where the scholarship checks will be presented.
Registration fees must be processed no later than October 2 to assure that the scholarship reimbursement checks are available to at the conference. If registration payment and processing is not completed by October 2, scholarship checks will be mailed to eligible students after the conference.
